I actually don't try to compare the two as they're effectively two different genres - one's horror, the other is action. Both bloody awesome films though

Thing is, resurrection wasn't crap because of the director, in fact i'd say the director did quite a good job with what he had. That didn't make it anything other than terrible, don't get me wrong, but there were some examples of good directing hidden away amongst the dross. The problem with the film was the script, it was terrible, for this film to be better than resurrection it needs a good writer more than it needs a good director.
