I have never failed to haggle 15% off by phone so that should bring you back to last years price

They also class glass (windscreens etc..) claims, accidental or mallicious as a fault claim because they can't recover any money from a third party thus freezing your no claims bonus!
I think there are stories like yours about every insurance company but, to be fair, yours is the first negative I've heard about Swiftcover. I haven't needed to claim from them, so all I can say from personal experience is that they were a country mile cheaper than everyone else for me.

I just did a quote with Aviva and with a £60 Quidco cashback and putting my old Ma on the policy I have got it down to £180 for a 2.0 full loaded 2009 QashQai which I don't think is too bad as most places were saying ~£300

I've had to put two claims through Elephant in the last 6months (1 at fault, 1 not) and both times they've been complete cretins or have handed me over to a third party of cretins that act as agents for them. I ended up in a hotel at my expense one night because they couldn't sort out the paperwork on my claim fast enough to get me a courtesy car.

So I'd give them and Admiral a miss for that reason alone.
