trying to work out when to pick this up, her current car isn't going for about 6 weeks

I want to minimize time spent with both cars insured but if I don't collect when I have paid balance then the warranty is running down

can't decide what to do with the number plate

S9RJJ

will cost me to put on retention ( this includes transfer fee )

£105 for one year, £130 for two years or £155 for three years

not sure if I could sell for a profit

Why not change her name to match the plate?

Chop the plate in for a better one for the Missus. You are only talking a few hundred quid anyway & it will finish it off Lovely for her.

I'd probably bin the plate off. So many meaningless plates like that floating about and nobody bar the original purchaser ever wants them. They're not even particularly common initials so the chance of finding anyone who'll want it is even slimmer.

EDIT - Other option is to contact the previous owner just to make sure they don't want their plate back. They may have forgotten to transfer it and they're probably your best (only) chance of finding a buyer.

I tend to agree, if it had any value the dealer would have kept it, best scenario is make a hundred quid or so after what could be a week or a year

got some new pics after I got it home and gave it a good wash

one thing I have noted is that while fuel consumption is good on a run it is appalling around town ( sub 20mpg )
