If you just want the main movie to start up without any menu's this is possible using DVDShrink. *probably with other apps as well but I don't use them*

Instead of going through the backup as you would normally - go to re-author and just drag across the main movie - select the languages and subtitles you want available then save it as an ISO.

Then use VLC so line up the ISO's.

Of course - all this is purely theoretical as I'd never do anything like that....
