Wow, necroposting!
Just bought one of these (reviewed here). Just the right size and it feels and works well. How well it'll cope as it gets dirty is a different matter, I used to wash my icemat fairly regularly.

Yeah, I have to wash my icemat every now and then. I have one at work and I suspect the cleaners might be having a go at it (which has both good and bad points).
Would use one at home but there isn't room for it. |

I must've have the oldest mousemat here, still using a Buff the Vampire Slayer Mousemat circa 1999 !!! Was a Christmas present from an Ex back then, and it's the oldest piece of computing bits i still use. I always wonder what are all these new mousemats are like and if they are better, pity you can't try it in the shops before buying one.

Not a chance. I own 2 mousemats, one of them came with my first PC which I bought probably sometime in late 98/early 99. The other I used to use with my Amiga 500 back in the day...

I still own Compuserve mousemats, and I'm pretty sure I have a Staffordshire Uni mousemat, circa 1992.

If we're going for history I've still got (and use) a mousemat which is like diving suit rubber stretched over a very thick piece of card, cost me £25 when Microsoft had just started selling their original mouse and the mouse was £118.
But I am an old git!

I feel like I'm missing out on a club here - I don't own and have never owned a mousemat! Then again my desk works well for laser mice so it's not a biggie. I don't know how I did it with the old ball mice....
