I saw other reports saying "Fire in London data centre" and I've often heard Maidenhead and Reading based data centres being described as "London" too. That'd explain why I was having problems picking up mail at lunchtime.

Now checking my server is OK - it's in the same DC and has some huge databases that don't like power cuts.

Edit - Ironically me bringing it down to do the checks has done more damage than the outage. Should have checked it wasn't updating first. :/
