If Mark only wants the speakers how much for just the amp fella?

£80 & P&P which after I've bought some thing to make it secure in the box will probably be about £20, this thing is bloody heavy at 12.5kg

Which makes the speakers £170 plus P&P which I estimate at again £20.

Spliting these will make them easier to post and I'd be more willing to consider it

Two minor issues I've discovered. 1) I can't use my good cables (they're teminated with banana plugs) - no biggie as I can just cut the plugs off or use the supplied wire. 2) The rears don't fit my stands (the current rears don't either which is why I never got them out). This one's a bit more of a bummer - need to find someone who's good at metalwork to make me a pair of brackets.

I'll read up on the amp specs and compare them with mine, but the split makes sense regardless. I'm surprised the P&P is only £20, but not going to complain.

Those terminals will take bare wire or banana plugs

OK - I read that the CD10s wouldn't, but maybe that was just the CD10 II. Thanks.

Well that black thing is a plastic cap which comes out so (I can only presume) they will take a banana plug

As for stands, I have two stands as part of the package, I used them for rears and wall mounted the fronts.

Thats interesting, you are correct, the coloured things that look like plugs aren't they are coloured caps to designate polarity :/

See.

I can live with that - too good a bargain to turn down for a very minor inconvenience.

Not sure I want to do any wall mounting, but I have a pair of stands myself that could be adapted with a little creative engineering if I can find someone to do it, and I've got a temporary solution in mind in the meantime.

Just waiting on the weekend now to see how the finances hold up.

Haven't forgotten, but have realised I need to think this through a little more (holiday upcoming to make a big hole in my finances). Will try to sit down with a calculator and work it out tomorrow - sorry for the delay.

Did have a look around the shops yesterday and was amazed by how cheap 5.1 systems have got. The reason was obvious as soon as I picked up a few of the speakers though.
