I do enjoy the single player in gears, but i've never been able to get into the multiplayer in 3rd person shooters, it just feels too 'detached' to be truly in control for me. It's going to have to be a sub-£20 purchase sadly, i'd like to see how the story wraps up asap, but there's just not enough value in the single player to justify it.

Oh and, then there is the fact that there's no point in me paying for a gold sub for one game. The only other game i'm excited about playing this year on the 360 is the copy of Tales from Vesperia i've bought and that's single player.

My copy arrived today, but on the same day as my shiny new iPad 2, and the DLC for Fallout: New Vegas, so I might not put much time into it straight away. Not sure if I want to go through it alone first or with friends instead. Don't actually know many people who are getting it who don't already have people to play it with.

Is it as good as people are saying? I'd love it regardless but just wanted to know.

Same here, really looking forward to going through it in 4 player co-op. Only one condition though - we have to do it on the hardest difficulty

Matt, it's great so far, but I'm only on chapter 2. I imagine it'll get better as I go
