It is mostly just faster, better camera, longer battery, better graphics rendering and Siri

I'd be very interested to hear peoples thoughts who have upgraded from the 4 & 3Gs. Personally have no interest as I'm an Android whore but none of my friends who have a 4 are interested as the 4 does everything they want and even my friend with a 3Gs will be waiting and playing with the new iOS first as her 3Gs does everything she needs it to, there's simply not enough new stuff to tempt her.

There wasn't for me really, apart from my 4 can be sluggish at times when doing heavy stuff.
That, and I love new gadgets

I have >3,000 photos on mine so that always went slow, when browsing through my Spotify lists of >1,000 tracks, etc. I noticed the camera also has been taking longer and longer to start from the homescreen.

I've just upgraded to the iOS 5 GM release and it looks like a few features might only be on the 4s (like the share my location thing)

I just read that list of commands & can't see a single one I'd use except perhaps call, text, navigate & I can do those on my current phone with the voice activation sw. Be fun to see what ir can do next week though.

I've got the iPhone 4, and as much as Siri looks very cool (and definitely something I'd use whenever I'm walking to/from work every day), I don't think it'll be worth upgrading to the 4s. Assuming the iPhone 5 is released next summer (as I suspect), I'll wait for that as my contract is up then anyway so I should be able to get it fairly cheap. Siri does look seriously cool though.

Don't think there's enough there to tempt iPhone 4 users to upgrade really, unless you can do it for minimal cost.

This will be my first iPhone. Had an HTC Desire for 18 months now and, whilst it's a good phone most of the time, there are far too many little problems which have annoyed me immensely. Add in the fact that the Android Market is markedly inferior to the App Store in quality and content and the fact that iOS is just "slicker" in operation and I've finally given in

Also taken the opportunity to switch networks as I'm sick of Orange's coverage.

Went with Vodafone on a 12-month contract. £319 up front but £59 rebate in November so £260 effectively, then £36 a month for 300 mins, unlimited texts and 500MB internet which is perfect for me. Works out at £692 total. If I deduct the £499 that buying the phone outright would have cost me then it works out at just over £16 a month for the service which is what I'd pay for a Vodafone or O2 sim-only contract anyway so pretty good deal I reckon.

I'm not going to get sucked into the endless cycle of replacement phones, planning to keep the 4S for quite a while so, after the 12 months I'll just switch to a cheap sim-only deal.
