Tis the one thing I am aware I'm going to be a part of... a bunch of dim wits not seeing motorbikes. What an absolute egit that guy was. Hope it doesn't put you off riding (how's the bike?!)

On a serious note, glad to hear that you're otherwise ok and it wasn't more serious

This puts a new light on my normal excuse:

"I slipped over in the shower and smashed my balls on the tap. I'l come in when I can walk again"

In all seriousness though (can you see I've put on my serious face?), this is the reason I stopped riding. I did a number of years without a bad off but had SO many near misses, particularly in situations like this one. It just caught up with me after a while and that nasty accident was waiting for me round a corner at any time, so I called it a day.
