Same problem as before. I've had both screens for a while - the first one took a year to show symptoms, the second (this current refurb) I've had for the past five or six months. I've tried different PCs, different inputs, even different AC cables.

I think much like the X360, something in the screen is loose or a bit iffy and after a long time can go slightly wrong. Not enough to bork the screen, but enough to annoy the end user.

It appears to be fine for now, I'll see how it is after a week or so before I do anything about it.

My 20in Viewsonic sometimes had colour issues but a lot of that was down to the VGA connector which occasionally needed a poke. I could have requested warranty service as it's still under warranty but decided I'd like an upgrade anyway.

Mine had problems with the power dying every now and then, gradually got increasingly worse. It did have to deal with regular car trips between Stafford and Swansea though so I think it got bashed during one of the trips.
Got it replaced ok at least.

I don't know what to think if I'm honest. On the one hand I could just about worship this screen, it really is that good.

On the other, two screens with the same glitch in less than 2 years?

Cancel that, the screen is ruined. These lines over certain colours are just not going away. Last screen it was green lines wherever the colour was black. Now I seem to get purple lines on certain shades of grey, such as the one our posts appear on

Do you think they'll send a refurb to university halls?

Did you try an 'auto image adjust'? I'd occasionally get lines over grey areas and letting the monitor adjust itself would sort them out.
