They are indeed 103 - I just said 100 for effect.
They are not available to public for at least another month or so - as you say on special order - only 4 in Europe which is amazing really!

Done a bit of research. This is the one I found on Panasonic UK:
http://www.panasonic.co.uk/plasma-di...f9ek/index.htm 220kg . 20 pixels/inch. Also checked the Japanese website (battling through undisplayable japanese characters, and using guesswork and pictures instead) and found a different model number, but it looks the same. |

Wouldn't want to pay the leccy bills though. Although, having said, that, it consumes about the same as my PC farm, so I already do pay the leccy bill.

If you can afford one of those, odds are the electricity bill isn't really a problem

Certainly a valid point.
I guess I'd not say no if offered, but I'd have to have the new house to put it in as well. |

That resolution seems small for a display of that magnitude? Unfortunately I don't know much about digital projection of images so my assumption that it would look blurry/pixelated is probably totally unfounded...

I had the presumption that each pixel would be the size of a postage stamp - however it's really rather good, even from less than 2m it's surprisingly crisp, actually amazingly so. It has the same pitch (I believe) as the the 42" Panasonic of the same series - Certainly from about 4m away (the minimum (IMO) viewing distance) it does look shard as a mofo - added to that a blue ray player, it's pretty astounding. The AV equipment in that room alone is nigh on 70k!!!
The electrcity is supplied by generators - so it's big diesel bills really, of course at the moment they are on shore power and the yard is doing all that I REALLY want one.
