Might also be under maintenance because Virgin Megastore is no longer Virgin Megastore (they're now called Zavvi). I don't own a Virgin CC either unfortunately.

Our local Game has a preowned one for £84 - though I doubt it's in such good condition. Tempting, though buying the two games seperately will bring the price up to £120, so it's not a huge difference.

Edit - now at £122. Game online = £127 - £5 quidco.

So I went into Game yesterday and plucked one off the shelf. I could have got one slightly cheaper online but the savings didn't outweight the peace of mind (or the roundtrip train fare if anything went wrong).

So, is there any important stuff I need to know before I go give/demonstrate it? Yeah, I know I should RTFM, but like all men*, we don't do such things - that would be admitting defeat.

* Or in my case, blind men who discover on trying to read the manual that they need a magnifier.

Other than put in the cartridge and turn on i'm really struggling to think of the technicalities. Not unless she wants to enter her name and dob which she does by turning it on without a card in there

Found that one, thanks - I charged it up and turned it on to make sure it's working, but I'm avoiding breaking seals on anything as it's not mine.

Gamestation have them for £150 with a choice of any 3 games. Dixons do them for £109 with Brain Training, however you can barter with them to change the game; usually they'll change the game for another one around the £20 mark, however if you push it they'll change it for any game.

I wanted Brain Training anyway, and Game had the same deal. Job's a good'un.

Picked up Sudoku today - she's a sudoku nut so had to be done.

Taking the whole lot round next weekend.

Thanks for the info - could be a grey import. Anyway, I decided the best approach was to get stuff on the high street as it makes life easier if something goes wrong, so I've already picked up the full quota of stuff I neet.
