Anyone got Portal or Orange box yet? - Page 2

Finished the portal in about 2hours 30mins. That's probably a reasonable time for a first run though, since none of the puzzles gave me much trouble. There're also some bonus "advanced maps" and what looked like time trials that I've not looked at yet.

The main game is a touch short imo, but is actually a much better game than I'd expected, especially toward the end.

I've got it downloading (I gave in and bought the whole damn thing just for completeness), but even with a decent speed, it's taking forever to download.

Just playing ep2, 75-80fps 1920*1200, everything full on (opteron 145 @ 2.8ghz and heavily clocked 1900xtx). I mean it doesn't look that bad either! Very impressed so far. Really this engine could be limped on for a while yet. So what that there is not the most uber gfx, get crysis for that

This has put back ideas of an upgrade for a while! The demo of UT3 is coming so that will be the test. Very happy considering this machine dates back to Jan 2005 and is still running games at full at native res

It's still downloading, I paused everything but Portal and I'm getting 200k/sec download but it's only on 71%. It started on 38% when it kicked off so it must be huge.

Set mine downloading before going to bed and it was there this morning when I got up

Had a bit of a play with it but only for 5 minutes. Will have a proper play later.
