Edit: Haha! Just realised that last bit is a bit hypocritical! 'He's a nice guy, but has a propensity for being overly verbose...'

As a tv presenter he was rubbish, pointless and irritating. I now find some of his stand up quite funny.

Tbh I don't have an opinion of him at all - don't think I've seen / heard him on anything

I don't like 'him' (from what i've heard of him)
I don't find him funny on tv (presenting, or on panel games etc) but his stand up is hilarious! like Jasper said, it had us both in pieces, and we'd had a pretty crappy day (with Jaypeg being ill and whatnot) so he must do something right! |

I love stand up, I'm going to see Bill Bailey in November and I'm really looking forward to it. Have also seen Ross Noble's stand up and Billy Connolly. In fact i used to go out with a stand up comedian, so spent far too much time watching a lot of professionals and novices, i know what i find funny. I just think Russel Brand is a moron and don't find him funny, i am allowed to think this. |

No one said you weren't allowed to think what you think, but your justification makes no sense whatsoever. Don't see what having been out with a comedian has to do with it. |

The justification is personal taste. I can't stand Brand, and I've seen his stand-up. I think Billy Connolly is hilarious though.
