Sounds Promising to me. It does seem that people want a regular Window cleaner but find it hard to find one.
I think the job will suit me, I'll be my own boss, Be able to take Frank out with me in the jeep & will be able to have Mucho Banter with the Customers (translate that as Ladys)
It is also affordable to set up with my meagre income.

I'm thinking of building a trailer for my mountain bike, One of those old fashioned ones for ladders. Will look cool & Old fashioned & i like old fashioned. Will start from my house & work out. Once i hit my bike limit I can bring the jeep out
Don't know yet it's all in the thinking stage

Don't think I'm going to be much help, but here we go

Do you have one ? Yes.

How Often ? Not sure. Approx monthly or bi-monthly.

How much does he Charge ? Don't know, he's contracted to the flat management company, and does all the windows for the whole block.

How Big is your House ? I have 3 windows, there's 27 flats, some have 4 windows.

How long does he spend on them ? Hardly any time at all, especially above ground level, he uses a long broom, no ladder. Can't see how that can get them clean...

Does he include the Plastics in the price ? (Frames/Plaggy Door etc). Can't do as they're never cleaned.

Why did you pick this Window cleaner or Did he pick you ? Before I moved in. A few have moaned, but not enough to cause a rethink.

Might be an idea to see if there's many (low) blocks of flats about. They usually have the management company's name and number on them, and most leases stipulate regular window cleaning as a requirement. Regular money (although probably less than individual properties for the window count).

Do you have one ? Yep

How Often ? i think its every 6 weeks but i've not seen him in a while

How much does he Charge ? i think its about £10

How Big is your House ? fairly large 2 bay windows, conservatory, 3 other medium sized windows, i don't know if he does the upstairs ones as they are hard to reach

How long does he spend on them ? about 30 mins - an hour

Does he include the Plastics in the price ? (Frames/Plaggy Door etc) i think he wipes the conservatory plastic for free

Why did you pick this Window cleaner or Did he pick you ?
As far as i know he picked us, we've had the same one since we moved here 20 years ago

So is it fair to say then that people with Awkward to reach windows would rather they were not done to avoid damage to property ?
Or would you expect every window done regardles & expect him to have the equipment/skill to reach them all Without damaging anything.

Spoken to mum she says that it is too hard to get to and would cause damage to the house, the windows we have upstairs swing right round so can be cleaned from inside anyway.

Don't have one. We have these funky magnetic thingies that allow you to clean/squeegie the window on the inside/outside at the same time, so you don't have to climb ladders and things. They're good enough for me!!

Yep I know about the insurance & that is definately needed but still I just wondered whether people would expect you to do them or prefer you to leave them, You know what people are like with there castles
With it being arranged with teh dole there will be an advisor & lots of meetings chats etc, Everything will have to be Spot on to the letter or they won't authorise it.
I must say it all seems a bit weird to me as i having been asking for this for years & i mean Years.
The way i see it is i can get out sort a round out & build it up until the weekly/monthly wage exceeds what i get now then just sign off & switch over, they are saying i can do this for up to 6 months, I'd say 3 months is a fair target. Does this mean if i earning a fair whack & putting it in the bank, Obviously not spending it because i can't withdraw any unless it's for equipment, expences that i can then build up a big fund before the 6 months is up
Am just thinking out loud here.
I'm thinking head down arse up get a decent round sorted in 3 months then spend 2 months banking money for the switch over. I'll have to find out how much Insurance is & eactly how much ladders etc cost. Then anything else that pops up.

I am also getting this dude up the job centre to get me the CSIA () cards that one needs these days. All sorts of cards you need before you can even get on some sites. I am going to milked every card possible out of them so in the end it will be Impossible for me to not get a job, That'll learn'em
I feel like i am taking the mick but obviously i am not & it's what they want anyway. Give it 6 months & I'll have my window cleaning round, be doing PC repairs upgrades here & there from home, will put cards out when i window clean & will be armed with the proper cards/certs i need if All goes tits up & i have to go on a site or summit.

That is the plan anyways & i can refer back here as & when i need to kick myself in the sacks & cry about how kin dire my life/job oppurtunitys are

Blimey that's a bit Poosh
No ladders is a right bonus though as i could be speedy Gonzales off the floor & not have to swing hoofing big ladders about the place, Means less chance of damage more houses can be done cheaper prices & something over the local window cleaners.
Woohoooo this posting larks works dunnit

Do you have one ?Yep

How Often ? every 6 weeks, I do it evry 6 weeks to alternate with his, so our windows are cleaned every 3 weeks (if that makes sense?)

How much does he Charge ? £9

How Big is your House ? A fair size, but a bungalow. 17 windows (3 Velux) and 3 patio doors, the main front door and a small conservatory

How long does he spend on them ? probably 45 mins

Does he include the Plastics in the price ? (Frames/Plaggy Door etc) yes he does, I dont though!

Why did you pick this Window cleaner or Did he pick you ? We picked him, he came with us from our old house, so we have had the same one for about 8 years now

Hope that helps mate
