Tried both sticks alone, no joy.
The GFX card is fine. When I got back from Malta I put the new motherboard in, and the machine booted perfectly. As soon as I turned it off, it has never been alive since. On board there are 4 debug lights. Originally, the last one wouldn't go out. At the moment 3 are staying on, which I *think* is bad news for the CPU. I'm wondering whether my old PSU was fubbared, and swapping the motherboard before the PSU was a bad idea.

Fixed!
All it took was a new PSU, motherboard and CPU...

The motherboard is identical to the old one, a DFI Lanparty UT. I loved the old board, so hit ebay to find an identical one. The CPU is the same, an AMD Opteron Danishbacon (or something). The PSU is now an Enermax 700W jobbie.
I have a lot of porn to catch up on.
