Pah, that's far to safe, try doing that whilst riding around mountains... When you get tired you.... fall off, and generally hurt yourself. So you better not get tired . Much more fun when you're actually moving, that would bore (and tire) the s**** out of me. Whereas normally I'm exhilarated and tired Also apart from (i won't lie numberous in my case) repairs and initial outlay, my version is pretty much free for life
See this is more sensible, not that this is me or i've been to canada, but you get the idea! Last edited by LeperousDust; 14-08-2008 at 15:36. |

Having 3 kids I'm afraid I really don't have time to ride out to the mountains for my workout!

But surely you've spend the same time riding around, as you would on your workout, unless you're teaching it of course which is different, most people would normally just be participating it. I'd probably teach this if someone paid me too .
It's also not so fair that i've got the Pentlands right next door to me, well i say next door, its a 15 min cycle which is close enough for me. I don't know what its like down thar, probably flatter |

Also, I would be a liability on the bike on the roads - I've never owned one as my parents wouldn't let me have one, so have never learned to ride one properly! While everyone else was doing their cycling proficiency at school I was actually learning how to ride! I am considering nicking Paul's bike for rides along the seafront though. Even I can manage that (in a wobbly fashion!)!

It's OK i'm a liability on a bike too, its all part of the fun Well after you've woken up from being out cold not knowing where there hell you are or why you're outside on a bike...
I'll let you off then, but cycling is excellent fun exercise i see it like running but lower impact (well unless you fall off of course) and you get to see more scenery than the same timed run I just mix it up a bit by doing some off road... You should definitely nick Pauls bike! |

Just keep at it, it stops hurting eventually. Apparently it can cause us males potentially more damage too (i guess I'd know about that as well ). Thank your lucky stars you're not using racing or slim line seats (unless you are ) they are nothing more than a small extension to the seat stay
