Our cats have collars, no names or addresses, but have been microchipped. I read somewhere putting names on collars encourages people to take them in should they get lost, if they call the pet by their real name, the pets hear a familiar sound and can settle in quite quickly |

Could you take a pic of her and make some posters up and put them around the area you found her?
My friends dogs are always get through her neighbours fence and take themself on an adventure lol they always come back even if she goes looking for them they end up back in her garden before she gets back to her house. Ooops tis lom here

Poor thing, he probably thought "these owners treat me like crap, im going to go and find a new mum and dad". He spotted said new owner and thought "he looks like a man who i can have an adventure with" only to be promptly thrown into doggie gaol without a single look back.
