I started playing it last friday, i played for about half an hour, but i actually fell asleep on a cut scene, i was tired after work. Pretty bad slowdown on the battles, ill try and get into it properly over xmas.

I did that the other day when I started Fallout 3 What's scary is I was still playing it in my sleep, I'd moved forward
Did that once before with Mario Kart DS too but to be fair, I was really ill at the time.

Bugger it.
Ordered it. It was inevitable; don't know why I fought so hard! |

Played an hour or so and...
love it. Well, you knew I'd say this but in my defence: no random encounters (yay), turn based tactical combat (yay), save anywhere (double yay), cliche jrpg hero and story (ya..err..hurah!). And to add, the reported combat game engine problems haven't been as bad as I expected though this may be down to the fact I've installed it. I did notice slow downs in the opening big battles but since then I've not noticed any problems. |

Save anywhere? Excellent
I feel more positive about it now from what you've said I had the time this morning to put it in the drive then before it had even started, I had to go out Hopefully later tonight I can give it a shot.

Just had a very brief play of this.
My first reaction when I saw the battle screen was wtf?! Detailed to say the least Interesting that you heal after each battle, wondering how much of a challenge it'll make things.
