Oh good they've sent me an email asking for the information I've already sent them online :/

Quote:
I have already provided this information using the online form.

All three of these are deposits for a group booking for a meal at a
restaraunt in Birmingham UK, if you like I can give you the phone number
of the restaraunt so you can check, its called HAHA and its in the Mailbox
shopping mall in the city centre, the booking is for 18 people on the 13th
of December, I'm going to haave roast Turkey and Christmas Pudding to
follow.

If your attention has been attracted by the comments on transaction
0KJ57696RE831392T they are a joke, my friend has a poor sense of humour.
This party has been arranged through a website but it is a purely inocent
private meal which will not involve any sordid sex games or wifeswapping.
If you wish to confirm this with Mr X then you have his email address
in the transaction report feel free to contact him to confirm.

> 9Y164565P2280160F - Deposit for a meal
> 91T68269H4705414F - Deposit for a meal
> 0KJ57696RE831392T - Deposit for a meal - Notes section of transaction
contains a silly joke.

Please have my account unlocked as soon as possible

Kind regards

Matt Bannister

If you've ever had a chance to read the charity collection thread that Gilly started over on OcUK, you'll know that that seems to be normal practice. Next, if that thread is anything to go by, you'll get requests to send copies of ID by fax, that they'll then deny receiving and demand that you send again, repeatedly.

Unfortunately they seem to like waging wars of attrition, holding your money as ransom, in the hope that you'll go away and they'll get to pocket the proceeds. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

PS - it also appears that they expect you to own a time machine. :/

Oh for the love of God!

I'd be absolutely delighted, would you like to attend? It's a £5 deposit and we are planning on going to a pub afterwards for a few drinks

The website is www.boat-drinks.co.uk, you won't be able to see the thread in which this has been arranged because it is in a section which is only available to members however it is free to register as it is purely a social forum. Once you have registered you will be able to view the 'meets' forum by following this link.

http://www.boat-drinks.co.uk/showthread.php?t=9433

There is another thread about it here

http://www.boat-drinks.co.uk/showthread.php?t=9365

and one about you here

http://www.boat-drinks.co.uk/showthread.php?t=9955

Do you do this for every transaction? It must be very time consuming? If you find anything which you think is even slightly amiss do please let me know.

Have a lovely day

Matt

I like your responses a lot, MB. Telling them what you're having for dinner and then inviting them along made me chuckle.

I'm not sure I would remain outwardly light hearted if I were in your position.

I'd love someone from Paypal to turn up to the Swansea bash in Birmingham. I can ask them why they found for the buyer in my recent eBay dispute!

Good replies though MB, hopefully it'll get sorted quickly.
