Was trying to remember some of the back story when I watched it just now, couldn't remember some of the bits of things that had happened at the end of series 1.

Still enjoyed it though.

That's the problem sometimes with BBC series, they're offair for so long you forget what happened previously. In the story, it can be mere seconds later but in reality it's 8-12 months ago.

Did it not feature a <voicover guy> Previously on Survivors.... montage?

I missed the first five minutes and the last episode (or maybe 2) of the first series so I was in the dark about most of it too.

It probably did but they do little more than remind you of the main story line and usually just the last part. As the new season develops it'll probably reference back things in the first season you'll have long forgotten about.

The only show I've seen put a lot of effort into "Previously on" montage is Dexter. At the start of each season they do a full recap of the previous season(s) on all story arcs, it lasts about 10 minutes long.

Grrr! The bloody BBC have today confirmed they have cancelled this. Frustrating considering how series 2 ended!
