Fair enough, I was basically asking if there are any advantages to offset the lost potential interest.

£a few quid here and there disappears into the maze of bills, a lump sum of a decent amount gets noticed and can be spent on "other" stuff rather than general living...at least thats the only reason for me.

Same here. It's like having a mini savings account that just slowly builds up. Ours is set at £100 and more often than not, as money clears, it's usually around £120-130 before it pays out.

So how does this work then?

Transaction was actually £534 but tracks as this.

Transaction value is wrong and that's not 8%!

you can earn I'm guessing is the key here

unless it's one of those retailers that pays different percentages for software/hardware etc?

Leave it for a few weeks and see if it validates at the correct amount. If not, raise an earnings enquiry on it. If it's wrong for you, you can bet it'll be wrong for others too.

PS - this is not an unusual thing to happen. The O2 transaction I just put through will apparently also track at the wrong amount.

Not quite a without VAT amount either (although close). Hmm.

I noticed that too, but could be the same problem. Either that or something was excluded (VAT and delivery are the usual culprits but that still doesn't work here).

It's a holiday so no differing rates, it's just 8% and that's it.

I shall wait a while and see if anything changes then file an enquiry if it doesn't.

Could be taxes and surcharges affecting the total amount then (particularly if there's a flight involved). Still doesn't account for why the Quidco amount is showing as 6% instead of 8% but hopefully that will fix itself (e.g. if it's a recent increase in the cashback amount then it could track at the old amount and later validate at the new one).
