Linux, that's not UNIX! UNIX is supposed to be green text on a black background!

I did a project just recently that was moving the user authentication and DB2 database back-end to Kerberos authentication via Active Directory and Oracle on AIX. It was all C-based work, like going back in time 15 years but it was really enjoyable - real programming where it's about writing elegant, functional, solid code

The only thing I didn't like was the new keyboards IBM provide with their AIX boxes - no micro-switched 5kg slabs of metal and plastic anymore, they're all like normal flyweight, spongy crap PC keyboards

Also I keep trying to dump WLM but I can't get settled on Pidgin or Digsby. Pidgin works fine for me apart from file sending and receiving. Something just doesn't work right there.
