No flying involved so no taxes and surcharges. It's a week in Lytham St. Annes so unless there's a secret Blackpool tax!

Don't expect Quidco to be of much help if you put in an enquiry. I had a transaction which didn't track so put in an enquiry which was declined. I opened a ticket giving all the required information and got this response:

Quote:
Hi Paul,

We are writing to you regarding your Crucial Technology UK rejected enquiry which has been escalated with the relevant network. We have been working hard with the network to retrieve an answer from the merchant. However, they have now confirmed to us that this merchant is unable to reverse the decision made on your original enquiry.

Due to the merchant%u2019s decision, the resolution for this enquiry cannot be changed. In light of this recent development we are no longer offering the escalation facility to members as the merchants are unable to change the original outcome supplied to us.

As part of our development and ongoing commitment to improving the service for our members, we are now working to implement a new procedure to ensure that circumstances like this do not occur in future.

Kind Regards,

Quidco Member Support
I've added emphasis there on the important bit. I asked them to clarify what they meant by that as it wasn't sure if they were not offering the escalation route for Crucial or for all merchants. Turns out it is for all merchants.

I've never had any problems with Crucial via Quidco but I have had similar type responses to some enquiries raised to them. Supply all details under the sun but yet the network says no and that's the end of it.

FYI TopCashBack has like for like 7% on Crucial compared to using QuidCo.

Cashback with these systems - whichever one you use - isn't guaranteed. There are several networks and intermediaries involved and any of them can get in the way of a successful payment. Having said that, the vast majority do work, and Quidco do occasionally pick up the foul-ups themselves.

One of mine took nearly a year to be paid, but it did eventually turn up - somehow. Was only a few pence mind. I've had a few transactions declined too.

I know it's not guaranteed but when I am able to provide them with an order number, customer reference number, email address used for ordering, credit card billing address, delivery address, order value & order contents I don't expect Crucial to reject the enquiry saying that they 'can't track the order.'

It wasn't an insignificant amount of cashback either, something like £85.

Hang on, so they are going to remove the ability to raise a query and if things don't work you just have to lump it?

Yep. Though they say they are working on a new procedure. Sucks, no?

Must be a mistake but according to Quidco I'm set to get back £27.48 cashback from GAME on a £27.98 spend .

Bought 2x 2100 points for £16.99 - £1 discount code and -£5 points = £27.98.

Quidco is currently tracking:
10 Aug 2009 22:46:47 GAME 0.00 0.00 tracked ~ Oct 2009
10 Aug 2009 22:46:47 GAME 32.98 27.48 tracked ~ Oct 2009

Fingers crossed for 4200 points for 50p!!

Nice!

I've currently got £735.92, about £500 of which is withdrawable. I've upped my withdrawl limit to £700. It'll be nice when that lot arrives!
