Superb. The guy who plays Tuco (Eli Wallach - The Ugly) is incredible. You just have to be in it for the long haul. There's no dialogue for about the first ten minutes, just long, silent, moody shots. These are interspersed with moments of extreme speed and sound throughout the film though, especially in the standoff at the end. Of course, the music is amazing - now pretty much the quintessential Western theme.

Eli Wallach is amazing, he's had a very interesting life too and still acting now at the age of 94. One of my favourite performances from him is as the neighbour in The Holiday, which seems odd to say considering it's a romantic comedy, but he's brilliant in it.

Saw (500) Days of Summer yesterday. I'm not sure why it's in the top 250. It's not bad, it's just average. I'll post a review up in the rate the last movie you watched thread.

I felt very much the same way. There's even talk the JGV may get an Oscar nomination for it? It's all very bizarre as watching it, it just felt like pretty much any other run of the mill rom-com.

IMDB is now a victim of its own success in many ways because the ratings are becoming increasingly influenced by the sort of person who sees a film at the cinema, thinks OMG WOW BEST FILM EVER and immediately rushes to vote it 10/10. As films get older and the excitement dies off a bit the ratings slowly drop. Votes Percentage Rating 11,326 28.8% 10
