Sherlock Holmes - A Game of Shadows

Excellent. A little predictable in places, but still probably the best film I've seen in years. Solid performances, great dialogue, amusement, action, I loved it.

9/10

Saw it yesterday. Agree completely ~loved it. Slowmo cinematography was INCREDIBLE and blatant excuse included for RDJ to shed clothes. Cant wait for the next one.

Remember me

Saw this yesterday on the movie channel. I'm crap at writing these things, but it was bloody good. Didn't see the twist at the end coming for a second. Kind of one of those "live life to the full cos you never know what's coming" films.

Ah well, at least I will, now I know there's a twist!

Saw 'Drive'

Horrible. Disliked a lot. Violent, unsympathetic characters and not a fraction as stylish and clever as it thought it was. Christina Hendricks had the presence and facial expressions of a blow up doll and was woefully underused.

Nightmare Before Christmas 3D

YAY! Awesomeness. Going to IMAX it next year . Perfect Christmas fodder

All 3 Blade films, in fits and starts on my phone at work.

Vampires, blood, EDTA, Ag and Wesley Snipes kicking arse.

I've seen 1 and 2 many times, but half way through, I realised I'd not seen Trinity. More of the same vampire arse-kickery.

Loved them

I set off watching this with the mindset 'meh'. Esp with Robert Pattison in it... but the girl from lost was also in it which swayed my decision and I think I was bored but as I think I've said here before was quite a good movie in the end.

Remember the sister being a good actress.

Girl With Dragon Tattoo 8.5/10

Actually really good. Even after seeing the Swedish versions was pleasantly happy.

Of course its had a lot more cash monies thrown at it & Daniel Craig is in it...which may or may not have swayed my decision somewhat.

Cars 2 6/10

Disappointing. did not make me cry...graphics were good but thought the storyline was gash...and I fell asleep :/

Star Trek 8/10

As a non trekkie I liked it! Sylar was great as Spock & it was easy to follow.

Deja Vu 8.5/10

Denzel et all...time travel etc. Great film cant believe I missed it at the flicks. My sorta film

Captain America

Ripping yarn, setting up for "The Avengers" nicely.

8.5/10

Alvin and The Chipmonks 3

Terrible. Truly awful and predictable. Megan enjoyed it, but it was basically a musical so she was going to love it anyway. Toby on the other hand was rather disappointed when we had a toilet break and he realised we were going back in to watch the rest of the film.

The only saving grace was that we went to the small independent cinema in Louth where it would seem it costs £25 for 1 adult and 2 kids, 3 small popcorns, 3 small drinks, 3 chocolate bars and 3 magnums during the interval- so lovely that they still do an ice cream interval

The film gets... 2/10

Got this pre-ordered for when it comes out next month. Interested to see what I make of it

Seeing this next week Can't beat a bit of Daniel Craig!

Today though, I saw Sherlock Holmes 2 Loved it. Not quite as good as the first one (although that's often the case with sequels!) but really enjoyed it nonetheless. Certainly want to see it a second time if I get a chance after the new Mission Impossible and Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
