The mental image alone makes me want to play it
Maybe over Christmas I'll be able to devote some time to it, more in the mood for short burst games at the moment like Tomb Raider and NFS:MW.

Might try that mission in North plaza instead.
When you've killed Adam, you can pick up his chainsaw from the section in the middle by the ride controls. It re-spawns whenever you enter the area and you can carry more than 1 Also, go and get yourself the books Engineering and Entertainment from Bachman's Bookporium (by the stairs to the upper level of Paradise Plaza), and Criminal Biography from Sir Book-A-Lot (on the upper level of Wonderland Plaza, across from the bathroom). If you get those 3 books, your small chainsaw will last 27 times as long as usual. Get them, 2 chainsaws, and a few health potions and you can tear through hundreds of zombies without batting an eyelid

I can't wait to play this game, I've watched the video review of it on IGN and the drilling machine is an awesome way to kill zombies

Not sure if people will have seen this but it appears Alan Wake has been delayed till 2008, well according to the US 360 mag. A post on the AW forums says there has been no mention of a release date and they are happy with the progress.

Also, if you give them both those ridiculous plastic lipsticks from the perfume counter they're actually pretty lethal with them!

Got them done now, was really easy with uber chainsaw Slipped back into a bad habit and forgot to save before walking into a shootout with brad and that guy with a sniper rifle, so had to go back and help that guy who couldnt walk out of North Plaza again though, oops.

Only tried twice with this guy (I died once, Brad died the next time) but I think I'm in a big of a predicament. I dont have time to go and kill whoever's guarding the gun shop, so I'm left with no projectile weapons, just a sledgehammer and chainsaw. Whenever I'm lucky enough to get close to him with some health left (one shot from that rifle takes 2 bars), he either barges me or smacks me with the gun.

I get the impression I need a gun of some sort :/

It's really difficult with a gun due to not having time to aim. The only way I was able to do it was later on when I had a lot more health from levelling up, and just running in with the chainsaws.

I'll have another stab later. Might try a bit of a wild card option and grabbing a hockey stick or golf club from the sports shop, see what I can do with that.

Really starting to get the bug for it now though, I've been offered tomorrow off and I might take it just so I can spend the afternoon playing this
