I wouldn't expect there to be. Apple won't accept competitors to their own official apps from anyone. If Google can't get their apps into the App Store, the average guy on the street stands no chance - even if they abducted Steve Jobs and held him to ransom.

It's probably because people seldom send "group" messages so it's a function that hasn't been introduced. I can't see it being that popular either though.

It's more than sending group messages though. A group can have a different ringtone, notifications and so on. Whilst I wouldn't send a group message I think not being able to set a ringtone for a group (ie, for my family) is a bit of a glaring omission.

Anyone use an excel app?
There seems te be a few about. Documents to go Mariner calc Spprredsheet quickoffice I want one to view and edit an excel file. My calender/work rosta which looks like this

quickoffice is the one we have on demo in work, it's not too bad but not something i've tried myself.

How on earth do I send teh Iphone an excel document? there's sync films, photos, music etc but no files.

Email it, or use an app. I've used FileAid in the past, does the job well.

I use dropbox along with the dropbox iPhone app. Works pretty well just for viewing files and things
