Limitless
Enjoyed it, was different from a lot of the films I was expecting it to be like. Got the feeling they didn't know where to go with it towards the end though, but if they made a sequel that continued the story I'd be interested in seeing it. 7/10 Green Hornet I don't think this knew what it wanted to be. Jack of all trades really, probably because Seth Rogen both wrote and starred in it and he wanted to look as awesome as possible. They should have separated those roles out. Christoph Waltz was very good but again never felt fully like a bad guy nor a funny guy, toying with both throughout. Cameron Diaz's character could've been played by anyone it was that generic. Regardless, it was a better watch than Green Lantern, but that's not saying much. 5/10

I liked limitless a lot but there were done really dodgy plot points left unanswered I thought.

Exactly - they'll never make a sequel I imagine but it would be nice to know how certain things turned out.

Re green lantern v green hornet. I thought both were mediocre movies, with "lantern" marginally the better of the two. Still think Ryan Reynolds is a one trick pony though. |

I found Lantern terrible because it played it straight like all the other superhero movies, except that the premise of it feels a further stage removed from believability. I'm sure it works as a comic but the whole 'whatever he thinks of he can make appear' is almost like it's from the mind of a child. See Axe Cop for a version of this that works - it's an online comic created by a child and drawn by his older brother.
Hornet is ridiculous but at least it seems to know it. That's how I felt about them anyway, with no background as to what each of them were before I saw them.

Husk
Scarecrows. Cornfield. Abandoned house. Stupid teens. 79 minutes, of which 70 is them running about and getting hurt. 2/10

The story had a good pace, the script was well put together, the special effects were nicely understated (so as to not detract from the dialogue) and fitted perfectly with the tongue in cheek undertone throughout. Very impressed with Mr Cornish's first big screen outing, at the helm 9/10

Four Lions
Absolutely hilarious most of the way through with serious undertones. It had me screaming with laughter, but has also made me really think about that way of life. I think it was very well done. 8/10

Mirrors - slow start, creepy middle, odd actiony section, twisted end
Did keep thinking of Kiefer as the guy from Lost Boys though (think thats why I never got into 24) |

Seven Pounds
Starring Will Smith as a guy who's wife has died, he decides to help seven people in their lives before committing suicide. The initial story sounded intriguing but the film just turned out to be rather dull. There was just nothing there, I didn't really care about the characters or even the main lead and I only watched it to the end just to see what it was all about but otherwise I could have happily turned it off half way through and never even thought about it again. A shame as I think the story line had potential but it just didn't deliver. 2/10
