Mmmmm sounds lovely Mubs
I wasn't going really going to cook anything special last night for Leon's bday because we're going for a meal tonight, but we went to Morissons in seach of fresh tuna and came back with mussels & steak instead (no tuna). I made moules marinieres with crusty french bread, followed by steak, chips (wedges of desiree potatoes parboiled, then tossed with oil, s&p & chilli flakes and roasted in the oven) and salad with a balsamic dressing & shavings of parmesan. YUM!! No room for pud

That sounds scrummy Kate!
I had moulses au Roquefort for lunch yesterday (I was in Paris) and it was fab! It's a shame I managed to drip some sauce on my tie though. Whoops. |

I had a chicken tikka kiev with chips, covered in cheese and sprinkled with paprika, with a side of grilled courgette, also covered in grated cheese.
And a bottle of red wine. I am now gonna raid the naughty cupboard for choccie biccies! |
