Aww hello Roo, will you be having the 4D scans? I wanted one with Isabella but Faysh didn't like the idea.

As this got bumped I thought I should give you an update
And the update is..... there really isn't much to update you on. Aitch is doing a sterling job, working long hours but making sure she is eating well and doing all she needs to do. We need to book up for NCT classes soon, it is not essential but by all accounts they are pretty good and the information will be useful, we also have dates for NHS classes, we want to be well prepared but I've done so much reading I'm not sure what I'm going to pick up in a few classes. Aitch is getting bigger, Roo is 23 weeks not and about the length of a ruler (30cm/ 12 inches). Tummy button hasn't turned from an innie to an outy yet but its now tiny and stretched and still a bit sore around her piercing. We have booked what should be a final private scan, a 4D one which we are going to take my parents to as a suprise at the end of April as they are visiting us for a few days. Last night in front of the telly after dinner Roo was having a little kicking session which I love to feel but we also watched and saw Aitch's belly move, its the first time either of us have seen that. She kicks quite strongly now, a definate shove from the inside, although neither of us is sure what she is actually doing and whether she is navigating about her little space or if she is just kicking out her legs and arms. Routine midwife appointment next week, if Aitch wasn't coping so well this bit could be a bit tedious but she is doing a stirling job and the only reason we want the process over is so we can get our hands on our baby. Really must sort out the nursery :/ MB |

Weird day today, Roo is now 24 weeks and a day old she is now what is termed 'viable', I'm not sure how I feel about the term but effectively it means that she 'could' survive if something were to happen and she had to come out early. This is not the same as 'would' survive and most babies born this early have long term problems. So it's a weird day, the trick now is to keep her baking for as long as possible.
My friend Marc's wife Kathrine is due today which is exciting and I'm waiting for a text over the next few days MB |
