I had my review copy arrive today! I initially asked for one for the PS3 as another reviewer for the site wanted to do it, but it appears there's been a mix up and they sent the 360 version instead. Sucks for him, but I get to keep it as long as I review it, so I'll sell my Amazon copy for the same price I paid for it so that'll do me just fine

I forgot how much fun the multiplayer on this can be. My first two games didn't go so well, ending up with a k:d ratio of 2:7 and 2:10 in those games. The next two were much better with a ratio of 16:7 and 9:5 (or close enough anyway). I can definitely see me sinking absolutely loads of time into this in the coming months.

It is me or is the single player campaign bloody hard, admitedly I started on Hardened because I thought it would be a challenge but I'm getting wiped out all the time! It might come from playing Borderlands for hours and being used to rushing into combat but even if I tuck myself away and snipe I'm getting swamped in the first South American mission. I'll drop down to Regular tonight and see if that helps.
I felt the early Airport mission was a bit unnessesary to be honest, I know you can skip it and I know there are a lot of warnings but it doesn't really add anything to the game, athough it does make me question my morals a bit, I found myself hanging back and only picking of the dying or actual threats, I couldn't bring myself to indescriminately pull the trigger MB |

The SP is hard MB. I'm currently playing through on hardened and the Rio level is difficult. One thing I will say is when you drop down off the platform I ended up taking the left route because I just couldn't manage the right too many people high up shooting me.

I got stuck on the exact same level on Hardened difficulty, got bored of dying so went into the MP instead. May either try a different route like Leo suggests or just drop down in difficulty and go back through it at a later date.

Don't drop it down just take the route on the left as it's easier because I got sick of dying. If you do decide to go right you have to keep moving otherwise if you duck behind cover it'll just give the enemy time to take the high ground

Personally found this to be the easiest of them all on Veteran difficulty.

the SP is a bit tough, but thats a good thing.
I've gone for Hardened first time round like i did with the last one and so far there have been a few tricky bits. first being at the end of the level on the rig, I think that bits taken me the most attempts so far! |
