My manager comes out of a meeting with another department and passes on that they've complained about the reliability of PCs in their area and that something needs to be done.

Any more info?

Is there ****.

lol. In a similar vein, a senior manager came into our office this morning and said, in an irate tone of voice, "I've been trying to ring you but it keeps going through to the Service Desk, so I've had to give up trying to ring and come here in person!!" so I ask him why he wanted to speak to me so urgently and he said "My Outlook isn't working! It comes up with some error message, can't remember what it said, but I can't send any emails"

I politely suggested he ring the Service Desk (who he'd already hung up on twice).

Looks like the article really helped explain what I do.

People that say they want to test drive your car arrange to come round and then don't show up :/ Don't even phone to say they aren't coming *mutters*

Recruitment agencies who ring you out of the blue about a role they are trying to fill, ask if it's convenient to talk and when you say "Ummm... I'm sorry, I'm just going into a meeting, can I call you back when I'm out?" and they say "it's OK, I'll call you in an hour" and then never call you back.

It appears that if I'm too professional to mess my employer and work colleagues around in order to make myself available to chat to the agency at the drop of a hat, I'm obviously not suitable for whatever role it was they were recruiting to.

There are some very good ones out there but unfortionately the majority of the ones I've met have been fired from being estate agents for lying too much, being too arrogant and too imcompitent.
