I'm awake at 0500 the majority of the week, enough time to casually watch the news with tea and bacon widges in bed before cycling off to work I love sleeping/chilling out in bed in the morning though so on days off I still awake early just so I can revel in my sleepytime snuggle bed

Mine too, God knows where it's at 99% of the time. My shift pattern is 2 days 07:00-19:00, 2 nights 19:00-07:00 and then 4 days off.

My devil spawn lovely children don't help either. 2 of them are now nocturnal and think nothing of staying up till 2-3 in the morning.

Heh, well t'other night I was forced to wake up at 7:30am to go into work.

Unfortunately, I'd only got in from work at 5:30am, 2 hours earlier.

The things we do

Just because it's you

If I get a good 5-6hrs sleep then I'm happy to go. Definitely a morning person, and not a night owl. I feel I can get so much done during the day if I get up early, though I will lie in till about 830-9 on a weekend, but not always - I feel tired and lethargic if I stay in bed all day. Don't like being awake at night as all the things I want to do wouldn't be possible, and I'm so busy that by the time night comes around I just want to go to bed anyway! I have lazy days where I do laze around in bed or in my dressing gown from time to time, but other than that what a waste of your life!

I'm pretty much the same - 5-6 hrs is plenty, if I sleep more than 8 hrs, I don't feel right. Once I'm properly awake, I don't like lying in bed, I prefer to get up - even if I just decant to the living room or computer room in my dressing gown.

When I'm at work, my first alarm goes off at 04:45 but I very rarely get up with that one. I usually get up after the second alarm at 05:00.
