Remember that when you have potential buyers travelling some distance to view your car, it gives you something of the upper hand to a degree anyway.
They've invested time and money getting to you, so turning down a perfectly good car because you won't haggle means this is dead money (and time) and they know it. I don't follow the prices of those cars, but if you feel it is a good price then spell it out to them before they come to view and don't let them knock you down one iota. |

They have a round trip of about 350 miles. I've explained every dink in the paintwork, service history, wrinkle in the leather and that I won't budge on price. There's nothing more I can tell them that could put them off! I've even been honest and explained that no, I'm not one careful lady owner. I've treated the car how it was built to be treated, which I think goes a way to explaining why I've had so few problems with it...ie none!

Also if they do find issues it will be one of two things, issues that make them walk away no matter what or smaller issues that aren't worth arguing about as if they argue and lose it will cost them too much in travelling. |

Well, it's gone. They left their home at 5am yesterday morning on a coach, arrived at half 1. They didn't want to drive it, had a quick look over, handed over the full asking price without so much as a blink and off they went. Throughly nice couple and I'm sure they'll love it.
For the first time since I was 18 I'm carless. It's a horrible horrible feeling Need to find something asap so if anyone localish know of anything under 1k with a decent length of MOT and tax gimme a yell

Paging Phil & Vix Thats mr2 mk1 territory that is Sure not as quick as yours in a straight line, but it'll be quick round the bends and you can sling the back out around roundabouts
Bar looking in the chronicle for Mondeo's etc knocking about. If not then it'll be worth a punt down at the auctions. |

Good point, however they are small. One in the frunk, one in the passenger and Daisy is small enough to get in the boot. Otherwise there is always a couple of straps and tieing one to the engine lid
Seriously though you could probably get a banger off ebay that would be fine. I'm thinking along the lines of Volvo's, Mondeo's, Omegas, even Pug 90s diesels. Tanks but they go forever. Infact bangers is Lopez's area of expertise (In both definitions of the word). |

I have seen an MR2 (think it was a mk2) in a petrol station with 2 adults plus a kid standing behind one of the seats
