All phones are a faff if you insist on dicking with them. I couldn't even tell you what version of iOS is on mine, it works and does everything I need it to so why change anything?....

I do like some of the new features. The text shortcuts that you can set up are cool (does anyone know how many you can have?)
I also just found out about the quick punctuation screen swap (ie hold the "123" key then drag to the punctuation you want and release, it then put in the punctuation and goes back to the normal keyboard layout ) Are there any other tips like that? That's probably very old but hey I didn't know about it

That was my point exactly!

Oh just remembered something else I found yesterday. You can now get rid of the keyboard in message by dragging it down off the bottom of the screen. Always used to be a pain that if you wanted to read earlier messages you only had a small section of screen to read them in.

It only works while you have space in the text box. After that you can't hide the keyboard

Found the hidden away system services location apps this lunchtime - and disabled most of them. That should help the battery some.
Also found out why Siri was having such bother with anything to do with 'home' or 'work'. I have two copies of all my contacts on the phone. Need to figure out how to clean that up at some point, but I've done my own contact so that Siri should be happy now. |

its early in the morning so I might be misunderstanding what you were saying - do you mean if you start to type a message you can't hide the keyboard? Because you can.

You can, but if its a long message that fills up the box, then it won't let you hide it anymore, as in it depends on the length of the text.
