But then again I've got a 64bit compatible processor using 32bit Windows, the point as I see it is that it was the fastest available at the time(well that I could afford anyway) and as far as I can tell it is exactly the same with the 8800series cards. They are the fastest with current games but they just happen to work with the next incarnation of DX.

Same here. Well, whatever €430 was back then. I had it as my main rig right up until last month as well

I've paid £387 for a Palit version. They're all much the same really, except silly life time warranties (this has a two year one).

nawty boy.. Wait 'till the R600s come out. They are only charging these rates because of the DX10 exclusive.. High price to pay for a techology that isn't in use yet, or likely to be for some time. The Unified Arcitecture would mean considerable code changes. Not something that most developers would relish doing half way through a project, i would guess.
I'm waiting!

Whos' Humbug??? Oh well.
Look a the history .. It seem to be the seem bloke with a number of aliases. He's put £400+ worth of card on ebay without a reserve.. It looks like he is bidding in his own auction to force the bid up. Surely that's not allowed.
