You'd be surprised. Find a memory bandwidth hungry single threaded application and my money would be on the Barton.

Hmm fair point - it's just my F@H X2's output is not as high as the dual Xeons I've got running it too. I'm just going by that.

C2D-based Xeons should give a Barton a bashing, but certainly not P4-based ones. I know to my cost just how bad the memory bottleneck problems are on P4's.

Oh, the dual Xeon system my rig out performs also has twice as much RAM and has the O/S running off a raptor... Feek knows who it belongs to which might explain why my humble little machine is better

Mine are called Leona and Sophie, but I don't actually refer to them as that. It's just what they're called on the network.

No names here. Machine names are just descriptive so I know what is what on the network (Main, HTPC and Bedroom)

My machines are named after Mario characters. My main box is called Mario, the laptop is Luigi and the 360 is called Will, sorry, Princess

The naming convention goes to shot when I look at the work laptop, that has the rather unmemorable name of GBMILT0NBXP0075 :/
