BY aren't, but NTL are. You can have upto 4 different MAC addresses 'registered' within a 24 hour period.

And of course with the NTL merger.... Still, shouldn't be a problem.

late to the table but yeah what MB has is the best thing to use just plug your modem into the WAN port in the back and you're ready to rock

EDIT: just found out our wireless router isn't compatible with the DS lite

Not strictly true I would think. The wireless encryption you've selected is probably the issue. I take it you're using WPA? DS's only support WEP but I hear rumours that a future update will bring in WPA support.

There is no encryption on it, the DI-514 is simply not compatible

EDIT: if you google for it you'll see people have had problems for it. See here

then again I might have sorted it

then again updated the firmware and it's not working

I realised after heading out from the hotel that I also had an AP that simply wouldn't work with my DS. Sodding thing! I ended up running my NAT on my Mac and connecting the DS to a WEP 'encrypted' network running from the Mac but only having that running when I needed to get the DS online.

That's a point. I'd forgotten about the Airport card in the Macs. Sadly I know very little about Mac networking beyond what's in the network settings box.

I'm impressed with your DOF use

So I plug the modem into this, and then run network cables to the computers?

Better get a big long cable for my computer upstairs

Merci buckets Matt.. and everyone else. You've been reet helpful!! Is it OK to pick the router up at Swansea? My computer won't be up and running for another week or two anyway I owe you one of those funny posh beers that tastes of wood

Anyway

Its a WRG614, you just plug the modem into the 'internet' port and the computers into the LAN ports or you can use wireless

You may notice I was trying out a low f stop to reduce the DOF, seems to have worked quite well

MB
p.s. WOOOO, THE INTERNET WORKS!!!!!!
