I made myself watch that about 5 years ago after i heard from someone how good it was supposed to be. And it was, really clever.

I love old epics. Lawrence of Arabia is one of my favourites.

If I'm ever channel hopping and Cool Hand Luke comes on, I can never turn it off

Any old B&W film with Cagney or Bogart in it.
Any old B&W film with gangsters and women dressed in 50's style clothes.
The Vikings with Curtis and dimple chin.
Spartacus.
Devil drivers.
My all time ultimate old film though is Angels with Dirty Faces.
Lots of others that my head has forgot for now.

I think Dune is about 30 years old, I like a lot of the old classics but I don't know of anyone else that really likes this (apart from my dad!).

some like it hot - i could watch that film over and over - it never gets boring

gigi - for the songs and costumes

my fair lady - it's just gorgeous

father goose - carry grant at his comedy best

lady killers - another ealing vote, well worth a watch

not a film, but 'not the 1948 show' just because monty python and the goodies are too young for this thread - this is their older, and not quite as funny brother
