That blue is nice but the car is the wrong shape to pull it off IMO.
Black or silver with multispokes for the win if you are getting that shape S3 I know you dont like BMWs, but have you considered an Alpina B10? Great cars and with Alpina on the back you dont get the same level of BMW-ness. They go like stink too, and an absolutely immaculate one can be had for your budget EDIT: *MUST* check who is signed in at the top of the page before I hit post! - its DRZ here |

Having picked up a shiny new Golf R32 hirecar in Munich yesterday I'm even more sure that I want one. I want one now. Right now!
I'm going to have a proper look at finances in the next few weeks then go shopping. |

Oh Dear
I went and sat in an S3 today a silver one with black and cream alacantara seats and it was really nice. The quaility is so evident when you close the door, it weighs a ton and make a really satisfying clunk. However I also spend a good few miles caining the 172 and I'm really torn . Driven hard in the twistys the 172 is amazingly fun and just holds and holds and holds. I let a colleauge drive it (she has a 1.4 Ibiza) and she was scared of the power and had a massive smile on her face through the whole drive. I just don't know what to do, the S3 is great and well built the Clio is great fun and a rattletrap but will cost me nothing to keep (unless of course it blows up) :undecided: MB |

I need style and class and speed and quieter ride on the motorway for going down to Wales and coming to meets, the 172 is a chore to drive to Alton Towers for example. I suppose I am unltimate candidate for a BMW too, they have what I require and a 3l petrol or deisel would be ideal, but I just don't like them and neither does H its a stupid prejudice that I just can't shake :undecided: MB MB |

Don't blame you - BMW's are revolting things tbh.
Hate them with a passion. Only BMW I'd ever consider owning is a 2002 CSL Thought about the new Mazda 3 MPS? Not a bad looking car and reliable as well. Built on the new Focus chassis too. Can't really think of much else at the moment. Simon/~Flibster

I have two S3 test drives booked for the weekend one in a Silver 03 with 30k and in in a Blue 02 with 17k, we shall see what happens. If the S3 doesn't excite me I think I'm stuffed as I can't find anything else I would consider a good swap for the 172. MB |
