I didn't get any myself after all this fun. Girlfriend has headed home to grieve lost grandpa and I couldn't be bothered to make them for myself. We'll have a belated Pancake Day next week.

I get a pancake in the end although it was canadian style and she made me eat it before my dinner - apparently the main difference is as well as maple syrup on top it has sugar in the batter! Wasn't too bad to be honest, although I would highly recommend having after or instead of savoury food... not before!
