I don't eat veg unless near forced, I hate spicy stuff, like very few fruit, and tbh, if it's not a by product of an animal, I doubt i'll eat it. As for food, i'm not sure what i'll be bringing, I think you lot have covered what I was gonna bring, i'll just see if I can get hold of some giant hot dogs.

Remember Kate American theme is only for the Saturday night festivities so wont be too much stodge
We'll be taking a run up to the cottage before the meet when I've finished all my marking to see what's about. Everyone's welcome to bring food, but we were thinking basic could be bought as a group, which we can sort nearer the time As for american theme Leo, what you've said is pretty much what I had in mind. We don't want to spend ages cooking though so things easy to stick in the ovens and just check on rather than having to check every 30 seconds are always good but we've got to make fries |

I agree with you in thinking it's probably best if we stuck to simple, bung in oven (or on BBQ hopefully) type stuff, but there's nothing wrong with a few people wanting to have a bash at some dishes

There is at least on BBQ there (though maybe two, can't quite remember) so I'm sure burgers, sausages, hot dogs etc can be cooked on it. It'll clear some room in the ovens for those who want to make other things, and the BBQ food mentioned is all stuff I can eat, which suits me fine

It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. |

Exactly I think probably sticking to the likes of sausages, burgers etc. is the safest method by far, just to make sure everyone gets something they like. People who want to cook extra can do that

Inspired by this thread (ta Leo ) and the fact I rarely have eggs and spare milk in the fridge I had 'Crepes aux fromage et champignons de la BBx' avec crepes avec limon et sucre pour pudding (to finish up the batter)

I have a creole/cajun/new orleans cookbook here - recipes from Commander's Palace (I got to eat there once it was amazing!) |

Give me potato salad, and I'm a happy person at a BBQ
Definitely be happy to bring the potatoes with me and sort it all out though.
