Spending money on anything less than 1366x768 (720p) is a bad investment. If you're moving to HD-TV you need to put the 360 into a high-def connector, it's the only one of your sources that actually produces a HD signal.

I've had my eye on this for ages: http://www.beyondtelevision.co.uk/th...uct.asp?ID=878

Cant justify the expense with the house though.
I quite agree, I have a amsung 788 panel and the picture is great.
Model is LE32N73BD, 2 HDMI inputs, 2 scart, card reader, USB port, free view etc, etc
Great LCD TV

I was eyeing up the N73...but then thought I'd hold out until the M87 hit the shelves.

Most of the panels I've seen look pretty poor when viewing normal TV and since HD isn't standard broadcast, that's quite an important factor at the moment.

Yep, full HD sets do struggle with SD but it's down to compromise. I'm more than happy with our freeview picture even though it's not as good as my old TV. The trade off in quality is worth it due to using the TV for the Xbox and also as a PC monitor.

If you want to pop over to take a look at the SD quality then give me a shout

Would love to see the TV Desmo !

I agree plamsa's are better for normal SD and plamsa's I think give a better natural picture on set's above 42''
However Plamsa is now old technology now and have there own problems like etching and response speed. Though the blacks are really good, better than LCD.
The Samsung model I have I am relly pleased with. I could have held out and got the 1080 panel model later in the year, however I would have to then wait again for the price to drop ! !:undecided:

There are lots of deals out there at the moment, plus you can always use the LCD TV as a big PC monitor if you have a PC as a home media centre

Most peopl now watch via some generic freeview / sky box.
No need for terrestial broadcasts, unless using portable TV's
