The thing is if I do run, I can run and keep running. I'm just not very quick - I'm too bulky to be a good long distance runner and it puts a lot of strain on my knees.

I sometimes like running, but only on a treadmill. I HAVE to run regularly as I have to get fit..sometimes I like it, sometimes it's a real pain in the poohole. I'm crap at it though. Like Will I'm just not made to run...my comfortable pace is around 11kmph which I can't sustain for any length of time...yet

10.5kmph is as 'comfortable' as it gets for me. The most I have managed is 3k on 11kmph and I am well and truly pooped after. I see people running at 12/13/14kmph and wonder how the **** they stop from falling off... cos I know I would Hate running. Grrr. BB x |

I'm ramping up to getting fit again but I have never been one for running, like Will I'm just not built for it, right now I'm not built for it because I'm obese but even when I'm fit I prefer to use the cross trainer

8kmp was my comfortable speed when I started and I could only manage about a minute and a half at that before passing out. I now can run at about 9.5 fairly consistently but I feel like I'm holding back, 11.5 just seems to feel 'right' but I can't breathe pretty quicky.
The fact that you can physically run 3km at 11kmph! Amazing!

I have a phobia of Gyms, so I'm getting my own set of weights and I'll just do street running
Too many mirrors and too much glass in gyms for my liking. And I don't like the metric system so I'm having to convert all of these measurements haha, but the times are pretty impressive
