Which is £80 minimum as they'll deny that we have a BT line installed despite the fact I can see the socket with 'BT' written on it...

*sigh*

One of my good friends from uni just got a deal with BT, a month into the contract and he's cancelling and getting SKY instead.

I've got BT, to be honest it's Pants.

The router will lock up every other day, just decided's it's had enough and will stop working. Then you reset the stupid thing and it loses the hub phone so no free calls till you set it up again which is waaayyyy to much hassle!!!

BT Vision is it's one saving grace. Recording live TV is great but if given opportunity I'd go back to sky in an instant (stupid Flat Management company)

My line is supposedly 8Mb the router claims to be running 6Mb speedtest says "NO it's all lies!!!!" I got 2Mb.

One other thing about the poncy router I got my 360 set-up on wireless, the only way I can get it to connect upto games on-line (COD 4 beta) was to put the 360 in DMZ.

Any chance you can get cable installed? We've been with ntl since the 512kb days and never had a problem even with the amount I do download on occasions they've never batted an eyelid at me. The only downside is their stupid limits, go over x amount a certain time in the day and hey halve your download speed

Nope, were on cable and was reasonably happy, but not on the table here so I'm left with DSL.

Do you have to have the whole telephone package too?

If not I've heard some good things about Zen - I think my old work was with them without any hassles.

Aye, they're the third if somewhat pricey option. It's either Be because on paper it's great value, BT because of the extra benefits in BT Vision and the phone, or Zen because I know it'll work and be reliable.

UKFSN (Enta)? Last I heard Pigmo used them and seemed to be getting on well.

Looked at them but £80pcm for >2mb is way to steep for me.

Reliability is the thing that had sold it to us
