Exactly
I'll often come in with a DVD or something as a treat, but it's nice to give her one extra special day. She suffers a lot with me

I've bought her some Hotel Chocolat chocolates in Exeter and i'm planning to buy her something else, just not sure what yet. Probably either a DVD or a DS game. She deserves more really, she's been a bit of a rock to me in past months.

I haven't spoken to my mother in a couple of years now and I've not seen her in double that so I think same as normal will cover it.

I'll probably go and buy the card Mic gives to his mum though as he always forget

I'll probably do the same as I've done the last couple of years and send her a bottle of malt. She loves her whisky but as she and my Dad are pensioners, they can't afford the really good stuff so, on special occasions, I usually treat them to something yummy. They usually save me a glass for the next time I get up to Shetland (probably May).

Flowers, I send at random intervals, when she least expects them and make her cry (in a good way).

Anyway, who says that just because we choose to do something nice on Mother's Day means that we don't do it at other times during the year? Hmmm? I know I do! My Mum is absolutely fantastic, and this is just another excuse for me to tell her so.

I'll cooking the parents (& probably brother)
a lovely slap-up 3 course meal and giving her a big bunch of flowers. I know that's what she'll appreciate over anything else. Making her a card too

That's in addition to rebuilding her computer and making her an apron from the leftover of the fabric she used on the kitchen curtains... which I was doing for her anyway because I'm an awesome daughter
I read that as you'll be cooking your parents and brother, couldn't see how she would enjoy that

How about something like a spa day? Went down well for my mum for her birthday last year, we spoke to a friend of hers and she bought herself one too so Mummsy had a chum to go with. She had two treatment thingies, a massage, a 3 course lunch and a soak in the spa all for £55!
