Feek, how are you finding the 2408? I've got one at work and find the input lag very disconcerting, just in Windows use, let alone gaming.
Compared to my 2407 it just feels "sluggish". Liking the dual setup too. Very similar to mine except I have a smaller Dell E198WFP as the secondary. Can't believe how useful the second screen is, especially now I've picked up a freeview dual-tuner card and routed an aerial to it - having the TV on the second screen is so useful.

Can't say I've noticed any lag at all with it, if it's there then I've just not spotted it.
Not going to get a tuner for my computer, I don't have an aerial on the roof any more!

Lag issues aside (obviously some are more sensitive to it than others) the Dell 24" screens are superb. Had my 2407 for over a year now and it's the single best piece of computer kit I've ever bought.

I've watched a couple of movies today and I've not noticed any lag at all but the problem I do have is getting the colour calibrated correctly. At the moment I've got a slight red tinge that I'm having issues getting rid of despite lots of tweaking.

One thing I noticed with my 2408 at work is the colour and brightness was all over the place first thing in the morning after it had been on all night. Leaving it on (but obviously allowing it to go into standby overnight) solved this for me.
I have also noticed that some colours, notably the red, is far more "vibrant" than it is on my 2407. I just put this down to the broader gamut of the newer screen.

I use Monitor Calibration Wizard on my systems to iron out any colour tints. Neither of my two 2707s have significant colour issues but an older Dell 1905 did, and this software sorted it.
No good if the problem is down to warm-up issues though. |
