It's usually at the east of england showground in Peterborough but this year it's moved to Mersea Island so not too far for you to go
http://www.japcarclub.com/jae/ Looks like we'll be taking Humphrey on Saturday and putting him on the MR2Only stand for the day. (We're usually on the mk1 club stand all weekend but camping is still not very feasible) |

Just looked it up, yeah thats not far at all. Drop me a pm and let me know when you are looking to get there.
Do you need somewhere to crash as I do have a proper camp bed going? |

Thanks lad, need to get some parts first.
On the A14 on the way home last night I hit some debri in the road. It was one of the load straps that lorries use to secure loads. This went under the back left wheel causing the car to skid. I was in the outside lane getting upto speed having left the roundabout. Going dead straight, wet road but obviously not booting it as I'm still getting used to it. The end result is I need a new bumper, bonnett and the light brackets are bent. I did try and save this but I ran out of road in the outside lane, so the end result was I nudged the central reservation. Seeing that picture although good reminds me that its not going to look like that for a long time. If I was driving like a **** then i'd hold my hand up. It just goes to show to expect the unexpected. Impact was at most 20mph, but it was enough. I'm fine and the car was driveable home. I am gutted, but in an odd way glad that although the car now has scrapes, it wasn't through me being a dick. Amusingly I had a day booked on October 20th in car control with rwd cars. Big big thanks to Phil and Vix who sourced a replacement bonnet in his stash and for getting a list of bits that I need. Now just need the bumper and slam panel sorted. Yeah I'm not having a lot of luck recently, seriously its stacking up. Waited years for a car like this, literally years Still with a bit of luck I can be back riding the gun again soon.
edit:- Ok, all may not be lost, there are actually a lot of mica blues currently being broken on ebay o/ I've fired off questions to all of them. Last edited by Zirax; 07-09-2008 at 21:55. |

Good job it's a fairly common colour, you'd have a nightmare getting red to match!
Where was the car control day?

4 people split between an instructor from 9 -4 at North Weald for £180. Personally I think that's an utter bargain. edit:- red, *shudders*. I had a red polo that I forever had to polish to get the thing not to turn pink |
